Hello! I'm sorry for the mess, I'm still trying to figure out DW and exchanges in general.

Want: Nara Shikako/Uchiha Shisui or Nara Shikako & Uchiha Shisui

“Political/Practical Arranged Marriage AU” as a bureaucratic solution to cut through a lot of red tape or fix-it for village politics. (Especially as a potential fix for the Uchiha Massacre or problems the Uchiha Clan have with the village!)  Canon-divergence/for want of a nail/GardensAU fic. (Can be actual shipping, platonic life partners, aro/ace ship, friendship shipping, whatever you want to write!)

 

Explanation for Shikako/Shisui or Shikako&Shisui: Watch!verse, Bat & Robin!verse, Lone Wolf!verse, Forest Missing the Trees!verse or another still mostly in Naruto universe!Many Gardens of Shikabane-hime setting, Shikako marries Shisui for political expedience/practical short-cut to cut red tape/save the Uchiha like nbd depending on the setting.
 

Things I’d love to see included:

Shikako being totally badass casually;

Shisui being the Uchiha-stereotype of falling for people that curb-stomp them;

Destroying Danzo in a super-badass/clever way off-camera;

Uchiha Mangekyou Sharingan Lineages recursive world-building;

Uzume and Amano (Pepper’s OCs) being mildly-to-overtly threatening and chill-but-spy-on-them substitute parental found-family respectively for Shisui in the background;

Reactions to the arranged marriage/marriage/whatever this counts as;

Shikako producing the anti-doujutsu theft seal, using it on Shisui, and sharing it with the clan (or the seal saving Shisui from Danzo);

and Shikako getting Nara R&D to approve seals, but contracting the Utah as production (ex. someone/the situation goes: “Nara R&D wants you to help fill the seal orders.” Shikako: “Nope sorry, it’s not like I know an entire clan of people who can copy and replicate things perfectly with one glance or anything that we can contract for this.” Shikako: *proceeds to sign up the Uchiha clan as Nara R&D contractors for production, giving the Uchiha a very generous amount for said production of seals, and thus restoring the Uchiha Clan coiffers in the process of ditching a lot of work*).

Want: Nara Shikako/Uchiha Sasuke or Nara Shikako & Uchiha Sasuke

Explanation for Shikako/Sasuke or Shikako&Sasuke: Shikako tries to desperately do something, anything, to prevent the massacre, signs herself up for an arranged marriage to try and save the Uchiha. Overall a softer-verse, even with most of the canon-threats in the background.
 

Things I’d love to see included:

the Uchiha reacting really badly at first because Shikako is considered chakra-hypersensitive and won’t be a ninja, but being desperate enough to accept anyway;

Sasuke agreeing because she’s not a fangirl and might be a fangirl-shield;

Sasuke showing off his Sharingan-sharp memories of Shikako vs Gaara or Isobu during the Mist-exams (or both!) via mass genjutsu to the clan;

Uchiha reactions to the growing reputation of the Shikabane-hime;

Itachi just completely confused in the background but happy things are getting better;

Shikako and Sasuke fixing the police (man-power, cadets, badges, moms, and the budget still) and scolding Fugaku for having too much pride to ask Senju Tsunade to just give them a budget;

Senju Tsunade dressing down Fugaku for not bringing the lack of a police budget to her attention himself;

Shikako producing the anti-doujutsu theft seal and sharing it with the clan;

Uchiha accountants re-balancing the books and realizing the Shikako will be the richest person in the clan by magnitudes because of the fuinjutsu;

and Shikako getting Nara RD to approve seals, but contracting the Uchiha as production (ex. someone/the situation goes: “Nara R&D wants you to help fill the seal orders.” Shikako: “Nope sorry, it’s not like I know an entire clan of people who can copy and replicate things perfectly or anything that we can contract for this.” Shikako: *proceeds to sign up the Uchiha clan as Nara R&D contractors for production, giving the Uchiha a very generous amount for said production of seals, and thus restoring the Uchiha Clan Coiffers in the process of ditching a lot of work*);

Want: Uzume and Amano reacting to Shikako

Uzume and Amano reacting to Shikako (or the mentions of Shikako) in Gardens!verses as the worryingly overpowered maybe-Nara/maybe-main-family-Nara. (Bonus for Uzume worrying over Shisui and his apparent lack of self-preservation or Uzume/Amano being parental found family for Shisui.)

I’d prefer if you stick to mostly DoS canon or DoS recursive world building.

Want: Outside-ish POVs of Nara Shikako being Nara Shikako.

Explanation: Nara Shikako found enemy-bases in Fire Country Territory; Nara Shikako can sense 12+ hour old chakra emissions; Nara Shikako upset the entire workings of Logistics/the Tower; Nara Shikako found an enemy ANBU team and identified systematic sabotage; Nara Shikako is holding a Clan Sealing Seminar; Nara Shikako reinvented the entire barrier seal canon; Nara Shikako and Uchiha Sasuke stopped a bijuu. From any point of view other than Shikako’s, this probably is a big deal. I’d love to see reactions and lots of ripple effects.

Example Ideas:

Inuzuka Tsume hearing about Shikako occasionally from Kiba and thus why she’s willing to grant her a tou-jou promotion to snatch her away from R&D.

Tamashiro (Head of R&D) being very jealous that he didn’t offer Nara Shikako a tou-jou promotion as well to try and take her from Tsume. Especially compounding storage scrolls with the single barrier tags. (Jiraya in DoS said that the Barrier Team would snap her up if she managed it, and she didn’t manage one, she managed four different types of barrier.)

Other Departments try to poach Nara Shikako from Tsume/Sensory Squad and Tsume’s reactions or Tsume bragging/lording it above Tamashiro (Head of R&D) about her better decision making.

Department Head reactions from the reveal of all the stuff Shikako finds during her sensory missions.

Logistics Department Chaos when Shikamaru brings in the process change, leading to how it snowballed to an instant meeting with the hokage, and then the months of fallout.

Kiba’s POV for Land of the Moon or the Lost Child missions with Shikako. 

Nara Shikaku watching/hearing about the antics of his little deer-heart.

Nara Takatori listening to Shikako teach seals. Wondering how fast she’s grown and how much of this she already knew when they let her into R&D because there’s nothing like this in all of the clan libraries.

Nara R&D fallout when they realize Nara Shikako had never been given an orientation, Kofuku’s execution of the mess and how it might be a violation of the clan oath (to protect the clan, “the clan is always behind you”), and why their sealing prodigy wants to avoid R&D as much as possible but is willing to teach the entire clan her seals still.

Nara clan accounting calculating out how much Shikako is contributing to the clan (via seals, via mission tithe) and how it’s blowing the regular statistics out of the water so much they have to find a way to recalculate stuff or just exclude her numbers because they’re outliers and Nara are lazy.

I'm personally of the interpretation that the Dame is giving a well-deserved dressing down to the Chevalier, who is actually the slightly younger memory-persona of the Courtier. I think I'd love to see a bunch of snips explaining more obscure portions of the poem.

I also like historical costume details (and accuracy, especially in materials and production techniques), complicated gender and social politics, and witty quips.

I'm also a huge fan of poetry, especially formal rhymed or versed work. Modern poetry/blank verse/just iambic pentameter or meter rhyme if unfortunately not the type I parse as easily.

I really disliked the way Elaine of Astolat is reduced to a tragic female victim character. I would love to see an AU where she:
A) gets a Happy Ending (with or without Sir Lancealot)

B) kicks Tennyson's ass for daring to change her name

C) does something awesome, vengeful, and vindictive

D) some or any combination of the above

Bad endings for people other than Elaine of Asolat are okay!
